BackKalmar Town
There was one town in Tjust, the town ofVästervik. However, Kalmar was much larger and the inhabitants of Tjust would have had business to attend to there. All southern-bound trade would pass through the harbour at Kalmar.
There were plenty of foreign merchants in Kalmar who had exciting goods, such as cloth, spices and wine.
The friars from the black-friar ´s monastery would come all the way from Kalmar to Tjust, which belonged to their district. The friars would bring news of what had happened in the big city to the south.
