The garments of the jester are red and green. On his head, he wears a hood with easel ears. As you can see, there are different colours on his legs. This fashion came to the Nordic countries in the beginning of the 15th century and was common among all kinds of people, not only jesters.
Jesters, fools, pipers or minstrels visited both castles and simpler houses. They told the latest news and performed at the market-place or at feasts.
