Brömsehus

Brömsehus

Brömsehus, on the border between Möre and Blekinge, Sweden and Denmark, probably was built as a Danish stronghold around the year 1360. Skåne and Blekinge were Swedish between 1332 and 1360. In 1360, King Valdemar Atterdag regained control over Skåne and Blekinge. With a well-trained army he crossed the region on his way to Öland and Gotland. The stronghold at Brömsehus was constructed to ensure that Blekinge never again would become Swedish.
